Chrysler Turbine Car
Chrysler Turbine Cars were automobiles powered by gas turbine engines which the Chrysler Corporation assembled in a small plant in Detroit, Michigan in 1963, for use in the only consumer test of gas turbine-powered cars. It was the high point of Chrysler's decades-long project to build a practical turbine-powered car. Chrysler-Plymouth
Chrysler-Plymouth was a division of the Chrysler Corporation, an Ameircan automobile company founded by Walter P. Chrysler. The division sold cars with both Chrysler and Plymouth brand names. The Chrysler models emphasized luxury, while the Plymouth cars stood for practicality. When the Plymouth brand was retired in 2001, Chrysler became a stand-alone division of DaimlerChrysler AG, the company formed by the merger of Chrysler and Daimler-Benz. The Chrysler Windsor was a full-sized car built by the Chrysler Corporation of Highland Park, Michigan (USA) during the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. The final Chrysler Windsor was produced in 1961.The Windsor was Chrysler price leader until the 1961 model year when Chrysler Newport was made the marques price leader. The Chrysler LHS was a full-size, front wheel drive car based on Chrysler's LH platform.Originally released in 1994, the same year as the last generation of the Chrysler New Yorker, and a year after the Chrysler Concorde, Dodge Intrepid and Eagle Vision, the LHS used a version of the LH platform lengthened with another five inches wheelbase in order to increase the size of the passenger compartment, and take the place of the Imperial as the largest car in Chrysler's range. A very similar New Yorker model was also built as a replacement for the New Yorker Fifth Avenue and New Yorker Salon. The LHS was differentiated from New Yorker by more standard features. The Chrysler Pacifica is a mid-size crossover SUV from DaimlerChrysler. It shares its platform with the Chrysler minivans but offers all wheel drive and an upscale interior. The Pacifica was introduced for 2004 and was originally inspired by the Chrysler Citadel concept car. The Pacifica, according to Chrysler, is a "sports tourer". The Pacifica is built in Windsor, Ontario, Canada alongside the Chrysler Town & Country and the Dodge Grand Caravan.For 2006, the "Limited" trim level was made available without all-wheel drive. The Chrysler Imperial, introduced in 1926, was the company's top of the range vehicle for much of its history. From 1955 to 1975, and from 1981 to 1983, the Imperial was its own marque, sold without the Chrysler name, although it never lost its association with Chrysler in the public mind. A Chrysler Hemi engine is one of three different internal combustion engine families from the Chrysler Corporation (or its successor, DaimlerChrysler) that are Hemi engines; in other words, they utilise a hemispherical combustion chamber. A hemispherical cylinder head allows the valves to be inline rather than side-by-side, which gives a straighter, simpler airflow path, allows large valves, and gives greater efficiency. The hemi design places the sparkplug in the center, giving more even ignition.
